Ms Degroff served as an distinguished adjudicator for internationally-respected Music Maestro Please Festivals of Music held in various major locales in the US and Canada. She was most professional and always helpful when it came to personally working with, and judging, participating high school and middle school choral ensembles, as well as collegiate and community groups on these occasions. A respected choral conductor/clinician and vocal pedagogist, Ms. Degroff has taught on the public school and collegiate levels as well as for the Camerata School of Music in Wilton, CT, choral conducting at the University of New Hampshire in addition to the speciality of vocal pedagogy at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME. Ms Degroff is a scholar and educator/musician who also has specialized in the teaching of studio/private vocal students. Experience in operatic roles has led to a fine well-rounding of her abilities. I would not hesitate to recommend Betsey Degroff for any position in choral music.

My daughter has been Betsey's student for 3 years. She has taken her voice from "pop" to full-bodied and beautifully warm opera with even some coluratura (sp?). She is patient, good at explaining technique and vocal positions, funny and very nice. We adore Betsey and are so happy to have found her s a voice teacher!

Betsey Degroff was both my daughter's and my voice teacher. She kept both of us growing as vocalist while doing a wonderful job of maintaining our vocal health. While studying with Betsey, my daughter placed 2nd for a vocal competition for her age group. She is now finishing up her BFA in Musical theater from a very prestigious program, thanks in part to the great foundation work Bestey did. I would highly recommend her.
