Introduction: After earning my BA Music degree, I have learned that many guitar instructors lack the musical knowledge that's necessary for effective instruction. I am grateful to have studied under Cuban Master Mario Abril (a student of Julian Bream), because many guitar instructors never experience such high-caliber instruction. Therefore, rather than simply teaching from personalized, limited knowledge and experience, I am equipped to teach the comprehensive discipline of classical guitar. I was privileged to spend 6 years working with teenagers as a youth intern at Silverdale Baptist Church, influencing me to become a "people-person" who enjoys working with anyone wanting to learn. I am currently Music Pastor of Encounter Church, and strive to hone my musical skills on a weekly basis.
I deeply enjoy the "final product" of an effectively trained and equipped individual who is able to teach himself as well as others. Having a ravenous curiosity, I have almost always had a natural inclination to teach. Because of the beauty and value I've discovered in experiencing the music of the guitar, I have developed a desire to share my love with others.
