They did a very thorough job and ensured that all taping and mudding was done as well as the painting. I am very happy with the work they provided and the quick, professional manner that they conducted themselves. I will be using them again on future projects. Excellent job!

Mike was wonderful to work with. He answered my texts promptly and took all my questions and concerns seriously. His estimate was fair and he was completely transparent about the cost of paint and supplies. Would definitely him again! No more pink!

Thumbtack only lets you pick three of five metrics but Mike & Rakz Painting were phenomenal. We’ve hired them multiple times to paint our entire first floor, and we’re painting each room on the second floor as well. My favorite thing is that Mike takes the time do the prep work properly and he has also handled electrical work for us by replace light fixtures and old telecom boxes left in the walls that didn’t work anymore and dated the house. Looking forward to the next project with Rakz!

We were truly impressed by Mike and his crew. They did a great job on a challenging two-story duplex under difficult conditions: we hired them based on reputation and reviews and a quick interview with a local friend who agreed to manage the project. They met our friend's demanding standards, worked well with the tenants, and overcame several logistical challenges creatively. Mike communicated proactively and worked with extremely high integrity throughout the project. Another contractor who came in to do tree work while Mike and his crew were in the middle of the project said that Mike and his crew were very cooperative and easy to share the site with. When we came across an unexpected carpentry/framing issue that required some out-of-scope work, Mike arranged a subcontractor on short notice, and folded a very reasonably-priced extension into our contract -- and still hit the project timeline with high quality. The crew even did a couple of extras without charge, including pressure washing some detritus off of the roof that we hadn't included in the original project statement of work. We HIGHLY recommend Mike and the RAKZ crew, and will certainly be happy to work with him again.
