Introduction: Synergy Voice Studios offers voice lessons aimed to develop in you the strongest and most versatile technique possible. Throughout your vocal study, you will explore the limitless possibilities through which you can express your unique voice: technique building, applying these skills to YOUR choice of music, and the option of exploring more than one style. Here is some information about the studio and myself, the instructor... My performance background is unique and versatile. Since my undergraduate work (B.M., The Hartt School), I've taken every opportunity to perform, teach, and direct music of multiple genres, both as a soloist and an ensemble member. The result is my experience and understanding of music and the vocal mechanism from various stylistic perspectives. I teach new singers to explore their choice of the following: 1. Soulful styles (r&b, jazz, blues, funk) 2. Bel Canto (classical) singing 3. Ensemble singing (choral, babershop, a cappella) 4. Modern pop and rock singing 5. Vocal Improvisation and male range extension Unlike most studio teachers, whose primary love is performing, my musical identity is built on teaching and giving the gift of musical performance to others. I believe that we all have at least some urge to make music with our voices. It is my work to help you develop the tools you need to tap into that inner musicality and use your voice without limitation. The art of pedagogy is incredibly important to me. After all, what good are a teacher's skills if he cannot transfer them effectively? So should you study here? Well, SVS is for: -Singers with little or no vocal training seeking to establish fundamental technique. -Singers seeking to discover their own voice through exploration of multiple styles. -Male singers seeking to access and strengthen the head voice. -Anyone seeking to expand the "tools" with which to express music through the voice. *SVS also offers lessons/tutoring in musicianship, ear training, music theory, and guitar.
