Cole and Son’s Plumbing is a hidden gem in Southern Maryland! I found them on Thumbtack when I needed a kitchen faucet replaced. Submitting the request was easy and I was able to schedule an appointment the same day. Master Plumber Carrington responded within a few minutes to confirm the appointment and to ask if I had picked up the new faucet. I told him I didn’t have the new faucet yet but was on my way to grab one. I got to the store and decided I didn’t want to replace the faucet with the traditional one that was being removed. I upgraded and grabbed a digital touchless one. Carrington arrived as scheduled, was very professional, and began the work removing the old faucet. He communicated what he was doing under the sink and ensured property was protected and there was no surrounding damage. Although the digital faucet had more parts to install, it was no problem for Carrington. The installation went well and Carrington tested the faucet to make sure it was working. There are two ways to turn on the faucet and he discovered an issue with the sensor! The faucet would turn on and off with the handle, but the water would continue to flow after using the sensor side. It wouldn’t turn off using the sensor or the handle. Carrington continued to troubleshoot the problem and retraced the installation steps. Again, he said it was a faulty sensor and those types of faucets should not be having a problem. He decided to go to Home Depot to pick up the same faucet!! I thought I was going to have to make the run since I made the original purchase, but he went! He wanted to tell the staff about the faulty sensor and to get another one. That’s what I’m talking about!! He returned, installed the newer sensor, and VOILA!! The faucet worked as it was designed to. It worked with the handle, the side sensor, or both. He also installed the new soap dispenser too. I appreciate this professional taking the time to complete the job correctly, and not leaving until everything was functioning as it should!! There was no rushing through the project to just get it done, or rescheduling the next day when an issue was discovered and it was getting late. People, this is true professionalism!! After I completed a final check to test the functionality of the faucet and soap dispenser, Carrington made sure the space was clear. Oh, he was even able to detect a problem with a toilet flapper in the foyer toilet! I highly recommend Cole and Son’s for your projects, because they make sure they send highly trained professionals and the rates are very reasonable!! Thanks again!! I will be using their business again for future plumbing upgrades!

Cole was extremely responsive. I used the instant book feature to book them to help us with installing a new tub spout in our bathroom. It was a seamless process. Cole texted me leading up to the job and was diligent in his pre-work questions, asking for clarifications and pictures of the new plumbing fixtures. I would definitely use them again.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have done residential new construction for 7 years before venturing into commercial, and that opened my eyes and made me a better plumber, in the field at least. They are definitely 2 different worlds, but the knowledge has definitely benefited me. I do strictly residential new construction at my company, so I don’t have a lot of use for a lot of the comercial knowledge daily, but knowing that I can diversify if needed is peace of mind!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Ok

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently had to install a new kitchen stove and gas operated dryer! The job was really smooth and efficiently done! The customer was more than satisfied!
