  I've been going to Easel for about 6 years, and it's honestly the best hair salon I've ever been to. It's the perfect combination of cute and artsy, but with really high quality professional stylists at a not entirely outrageous price for DC. I've seen maybe 6 stylists there before, and every single person I've been to has been fantastic. I've recommended a number of friends and my mom, sister and boyfriend all go now as well. Shawn is an amazing person as well as an amazing stylist, and I really could not recommend them more highly.

  2 words: Love Easel! Reasonable prices for a trendy (or classic) cut, color and style. The owner, Shawn, is passionate about his business and extends this to the community, building community, not just providing a service. You'll feel at home as soon as you walk in to the studio, and of course walk out with a style that fits you!
  
  I personally have horrible hair to deal with--thin, straight, fine, you name it--and somehow I walk out of there looking amazing. They KNOW hair and it shows.

  Easel Hair Studio is a great place for a young professional male to get a haircut. I always leave very pleased because I don't have that typical look of just getting my hair chopped off. It is a little pricey, but I think it is worth the money.

  I was referred to Shawn by a longtime client, after a year of bouncing among expensive and boring hairdressers. He was a breath of fresh air! Totally reasonable prices, and exciting styling. He encouraged me to take a risk and I'm so glad I did! Excellent coloring work too. Definitely worth a visit.

  I love Easel! My sister started going 6 years ago during college and got me hooked when I moved to town. Shawn Leonard and all of his staff are incredibly talented people who do amazing work. It is also a very warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, so I am always excited to go in for color or a cut. You will not find more talented stylists in the DC area, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of their services. A++!
