Question and answer

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. South Hagerstown High School Prom - SHHS hired me to provide entertainment for their 2012 prom. The venue was transformed into enchanted moonlight night full with lasers and bubbles. The students danced non-stop with DJ Nyce laying down the best in Top 40, House, Rap and Mashups.

Walker Wedding @ Ashburn Country Club - Classy wedding with uplighting and DJ Nyce spinning the best in Line Dances, R&B, Top 40, Funk/Soul, 80s and Classic Hip-Hop.

Encore Mondays @ Tattoo Bar, DC - DJ Nyce opening up for DJ Hostility spinning Top 40, Rap and Mashups.

Opera Tuesdays @ Opera Ultra Lounge, DC - DJ Nyce opening up for DJ Hostility spinning Top 40 and Rap.

M.I.A. Wednesdays @ M.I.A. Lounge, DC - DJ Nyce opening up for DJ Hostility and DJ Phlipz spinning Top 40, House, Rap and Mashups.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Have a set time in mind. Variable times incur additional charges. Have all your info (date, time, venue, # of people) ready before requesting a quote.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. To be a good and professional dj requires a lot of time and money. This is why good dj's require the rates that they do. Beware of rookie bedroom dj's who will give you rate that is too good to be true. Your event will be a disaster.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What equipment to you use? How old is your equipment? When was the last time your equipment was serviced? How many songs do you have access to? What are your favorite genres of music? How long have you been dj'ing? What is your refund policy?
