Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. This is the year of Havana/Marley twists. everybody is getting this style. It takes 1-2 hours to install, last about 4-6 weeks, and are a very low maintenance protective style.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask as many questions as possible to find out if the stylistic can provide you with the care your hair needs.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Always ask about the type of hair to get. There are many brands and stylists may prefer to use a specific one for a particular style.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I am a dedicated stylistic who puts the customer satisfaction first. You will get exactly what you want at every sitting.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I get to do something that I love and make people beautiful and feel good about the way they look at the same time. Being in the service of helping others is a great feeling.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am constantly working to provide the newest and innovative styles to my customers. I stay on top of the current trends by attending braiding training and seminars in order to give the customer the best quality available.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. At the present time, most customers are requesting the Havana twist/Marley twist style. It is quick to install, quick to take about, and it looks very natural. They are this seasons version of the Big box braids/ Janet Jackson Braids.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. A recent job I performed was a natural cornrow design into a high bun. I added natural textured extensions to the bun for fullness and a natural look.
