FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do not have a standard pricing system as all jobs are different. When a price is given sight unseen, there are variables that may effect the final cost of the project. These variables can be significant enough to require a change order and the customer having to pay for more than they were expecting. The work that is desired, the height at which it needs to be conducted, the distance needed to travel, the condition of the area where the work is to be conducted, and the amount of materials required are just a few of the things that are taken into consideration when pricing out a job. We prefer to discuss the project in person so that we may properly assess the area where the work is to be performed and give the customer the best price possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we begin working with a new customer, we set up an appointment to meet with them to discuss the scope of their work. We take notes, measurements and pictures if needed. We return to the office and work on writing their free proposal. The proposal includes an outline of the work to be completed as well as the expected payment plan of the project. Once it is complete, we contact the customer to set up a time to meet with them to go over the proposal. This allows us to answer any questions that they may have, make any adjustments to the scope of work and give the customer a clear understanding of what will be involved in making their vision a reality.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked along side, and learned many skills from, master painters, carpenters and masons in my 37 years of vocation. This interaction has offered me the opportunity to learn skills that are becoming a lost art such as plaster work, graining, and glazing. In addition to working and learning from the masters, I am always conducting reasearch and learning new and better ways to give my customers the most effiecient, highest quality job they deserve.
