Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Real astrology requires a lot of mathematical ability and intuition, as well as the all-important element of compassion (wisdom). It takes time to prepare a chart -- to run wheels on a software program, then analyze them with mathematical rigor -- so only certain types of brains are suited for the practice. Good astrology is rare; it is far removed from fortune-telling! Most real astrologers belong to a national organization or two that has a Code of Ethics; we read trade journals to see what our peers have discovered; and we write articles or give talks to share our experience in the field. Real astrology is NOT a store-front operation in the sense that anyone can call themselves an astrologer -- it takes brainpower and years of practice.

In the past, only royalty or heads of government merited the benefits of astrology (e.g., Sir John Dee to Queen Elizabeth I) but nowadays, thanks to astrological software programs that do all the tedious calculations, it is available to everyone. Astrology is a priceless tool for navigating life! Please appreciate the real astrologers you meet.
