I don't normally put reviews up for businesses but feel obligated to after my family's experience with Mark and his team. First let me start by saying that from the very beginning when we had a free estimate from (The Hifi Guy Inc) it was clear that I was being consulted and educated by the real McCoy. I read people for living in my job and I like to think I am very good at it. Of course my wife was impressed with our estimate before we even got a price because they were on time, professional, not pushy, and clearly very knowledgable with good reviews online (yup, it's true reviews are usually accurate as is the case here). I decided to get other quotes for the work anyway as I normally do when I hire a contractor. Out of 4 companies in this field that agreed to a free estimate and provided a quote we choose (The Hifi Guy, Inc), and I'm glad we did. Their price for the job was the 2nd best price out of the 4 estimates and within 1% of the lowest quote. Keep in mind the lowest price company were nice people too, but Maybe it's just me but I would pay an extra 1% everyday of the week to deal with the owner of a reputable company rather than a young kid sent out by a big box store that does electronics. My wife and I have 6 kids and 4 of them got a stomach bug today before they came for our custom installation. Not only were they patient and polite thru my wife and I trying to take care of our sick kids all around them, they were talking to the kids and even stopped to help a couple times. I was seriously impressed and so was my wife. Especially keeping in mind that they worked a late night to squeeze our job in before the holidays at our request. Very rarely do you find a contractor that is prompt, professional, prices well, and done on time.... When you do it's a great feeling. We were happy customers with the work, we are going to be lifetime customers because of how great the people are that came to our home tonight. Mark and Kyle from The Hifi Guy Inc.... How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love Music. I got into the Audio/ video business a while ago, I have always been a hands-on kind of guy. As a kid I would take things apart to see how they worked. This was a natural thing for me. I have been installing Home Theater and TV's before LCD and Plasma TV, (Flat panels) were even invented. The technology out there can be daunting for some. We explain it and make it simple for the everyday person.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire a company with experience. Ask for refferences. We gladely will connect any of our new customers to our past clients. We take pride in our work and we would be delighted to offer refferences.
