Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. On demand, trucking, and warehousing are our most commonly selected job types customers choose.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. In today's economy, you need to research your options and not only go with the best rate for services but how well the company offering you it's services responds to your requests.

Sometimes, it's not always about the money. There are a lot of companies out there that offer the lowest rate in the industry but don't respond well to their customers demands.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. When you hang up the phone after talking to this service provider, how would you rate them? Were they nice to you on the phone, did they offer you a free first time order, were they courteous, friendly, and understanding of your situation? If so, you may have found a winning service provider.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. What is included in your order? Are you just looking at the total cost or are you understanding what your getting with the total? Did you do your research on the company and verified they are a legit company and not an independent contractor? Does the company offer cargo insurance, liability, or a guarantee? Do your research. It's always a good idea to look into a few companies before settling down with one. After that, you will be able to take advantage of today's technology to make ordering, tracking, and getting quotes a snap using the provider's website and easy log on feature.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are a friendly and low cost courier company. We understand our customers and a lot of potential customers who contact us and explain their situation. Most companies now a days are looking to outsource and bring their operational expenses down. We can help you with that. We teach other small business's like yours how a courier company like ours can save their company thousands of dollars a year by utilizing our company as their primary delivery service provider.

We also offer low cost Delivery, Logistics, and Warehousing services, available 24 hours a day and use state of the art technology that allows your fast online ordering experience the best.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Most potential customers ask us, "Can you do it", and our answer is always, "of course we can." If you can think of it, we can do it. From storing your critical parts in our warehouse for on demand delivery, to delivering donor organs for emergency transplants, First State Couriers can help.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. We are a small courier company based in Delaware. Even though we may be located in Delaware, we can and have met customer's demands to have packages shipped in excess to 1,500 miles. If you need a package picked up in Delaware and shipped to Florida, California, Georgia, or beyond, we can help.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. About 15 or 20 years ago I was already in the public transportation industry and from time to time we would get request to deliver packages, or donor organs to Children s hospitals for emergency transplant and I thought this would be a great business to get into. After years of research and development, I did exactly that, because I enjoy the opportunity to work with other companies and teach them about our industry as well as how they can benefit from our services.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. In this industry pricing is based on several factors, so when attempting to get a quote for delivery services, please understand that companies like ours, use state of the art technology which includes pricing, ordering, quote, tracking, as well as billing. The software normally compiles a series of prices that consolidates one rate.

For example, there may be a rate for a service such as a 1 hour on demand, followed by fuel, drive time, per piece, per mile, per pound, etc to come up with one gross total.
