- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Simple. I have always had a strong passion for assisting, providing for, and loving animals! I also have a B.S in Marketing and have always desired to own my own business.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First of all, make sure the provider is a professional and is licensed, bonded and insured. Ask for references and for the provider to come out to your home. Secondly, when having the provider come to your home, it is easy to spot someone who is in the business just to make money or in it because of a passion for animals. Remember, you are entrusting this person in the care of your furry baby, so what would you prefer?
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish people would realize that it is not an easy profession to start and that we are "professionals". Many people can view me as just a dog walker, but I am a business owner, an animal handler, a boss, a marketing manager and more!
