I was very excited to see the quality and feel of your cards! I had purchased some waterproof business cards before from another company and I was not completely satisfied with them because they felt to thin. The product was called EndurACE, they felt more like a medium weight paper and not like a business card. I also want to thank you for the quick turn-around! The cards printed the day of the order and they shipped the following day…

Awesome Service!!! Will definitely buy from you guys again!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Some of the most common eco-friendly jobs done for our clients in our 111Lb cover weight material are waterproof business cards, waterproof postcards, waterproof trading cards, and waterproof profile cards. In our 91Lb text weight material we do waterproof flyers and waterproof mini-posters. Sizes for all the above range from 2"x3.5" to 11"x17". Custom sizes are also available.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure you ask what process is used to produce the job you are requesting. There is a big difference in look and feel on what method is being used. There are two methods we use to print our waterproof jobs - Digital or Offset. The selection of method will depend on the quantities being ordered. Most companies that claim they print digital are most likely using toner based machines - such as Xerox, Cannon, Ricoh, and others. We use a liquid based Ink that will resemble the closest to off-set printing.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. To create proper artwork and files for a high end printing process you must use professional software. Specific softwares are chosen depending on the application of the job. For instance, if you have a project that requires layout such as a brochure or sale sheet you'd want to use the proper software such as Adobe InDesign; if you are creating a logo or simple signage then you might want to use Adobe Illustrator and depending on what it is maybe Photoshop. For manipulating images you would of course use Adobe Photoshop and remember that if it is being produced for the high end printing, images must be saved in a CMYK process.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. 1. Length of time the company has been in business.
2. Turnaround time for completion of job.
3. Paper thickness being used.
4. Paper quality
5. Paper brightness
6. Method of printing
7. Minimum quantities required
8. Shipping options

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The most important thing to remember before seeking us or any other providers is to ask yourself if you have the proper artwork and files to produce your job. The methods we use for printing require high resolution files (300 dpi - which means that for every inch there should be 300 dots of ink to produce the image) and a CMYK mode - this produces a 4 color job with a combination of 4 plates - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black . In order to produce this kind of job you must use professional software such as software provided by Adobe. Microsoft Word, Paint, and Publisher among others are not suitable for high resolution reproduction. Most of these only produce files that are saved as 72 dpi and in a RGB mode (for screen viewing only)

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our jobs stand out from others who do what we do because we print on eco-friendly, tree-free paper with eco-inks. Our material is 100% waterproof and our print quality is photographic. And we like to believe that we provide the best customer service and support available including file production and graphic design services.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes. It is important and a must to stay up on the latest developments in our filed. Every year we attend several seminars specific to our industry in order to stay on top of the latest software developments. We also attend conventions (expos) for the graphics and arts, signage, and garment industry. By attending these it helps us learn and determine better and more efficient ways to have our client jobs produced.
