A good coach is hard to come by. Sam is highly disciplined, motivated, and most of all an inspiration. Sam’s expertise shows through his versatile work out routines. His skills and techniques are unique, focusing on form and function and incorporates positive behavioral conditioning. Sam communicates to understand your goals and develops a connect, which in my opinion is extremely important to be able to push just the right amount and in the right direction to achieve the best results. Most importantly, Sam’s a kind hearted simpleton.

Sam is an amazing strength and conditioning coach. But he also has a heart of gold, is as entertaining between sets as he is serious during them, and yells his loudest when you’re going for a 1-rep max deadlift. He pushes you to believe that you can do things you wouldn’t believe you could, and he supports your goals. His programming is great, and he can explain the biomechanical advantages and disadvantages that the slightest variation in form causes, and if you have an appetite for information, he will be patient as you bombard him with questions. I also developed an interest in powerlifting as a sport, and it’s a credit to Sam’s coaching that I walked into the gym with the goal of getting thin, and left with the desire to be the strongest I can. He helped get me less obsessed with the number on the scale, and I developed simple, flexible eating habits that I enjoyed, and lost 20lb during the 3 month period I worked with him while he was in Sunnyvale, while still putting further weight on my lifts each week. I'm sure that anyone who trains with Sam going forward will be truly happy with their progress and will have a wonderful time.

Sam as a coach is awesome. He would always get me pumped and encouraged me to keep working out even when i was exhausted. He would always want me to focus on posture over anything else when i came to an exercise. He expected me to do more because he knew that i wanted more for myself. He figures out what someone is trying to get out of working out. His energy is truly a one of a kind from the beginning to the end of the class. He made working out fun and I was always excited to show up.

I'd day I got lucky to be able to train under Sam here at UFC Sunnyvale as I was able to set & achieve goals didn't think I could. While training under him, I not only lost 8 lbs in 3 weeks but achieved so much more than that. Everyday my endurance improved, strength training became so much fun & easier and also I gained a lot of knowledge about fitness & diet. Whether you enjoy working out or not, Sam is a coach whose sessions you will never want to miss. Training under Sam is achieving all your (and more) fitness goals through those tough & interesting routines he designs for you and not even realizing it because you will be busy having fun.

Sam is an excellent coach. You can tell quickly that he has been doing this for a while now. No matter what level you're at he can help you push it to the next level.He seems really passionate about what he does and will get you fired up for your session. He's straight forward, honest and vocal. He points out pretty much every little flaw in your form so if you want to train better he's your man. He's also fun so in a session with him there's barely a dull moment.I loved my time training with him and would 100% recommend him as your coach.
