Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Check carefully the credits / client list and references of the Video Producer and or Production Company you are hiring. Make darn sure you are getting all the services you are contracted for and the quality is exactly the quality you desire.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Film and Video Production is often misrepresented simply because of the lack of knowledge on the video technical end. Do I need HD or even 3D Video for my project? These are often the questions and especially so; "Why are the costs so high? You should pay for what you are getting.. and the quality is always based on not only the gear used, but the talent and crews you hire as well.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. In the case of Video Production Services; "Show me what you have done in the past? This is the best way to see the quality of the product you desire to get.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. "In 2005, myself and Team decided to Independently Produce and Direct a Feature Length Documentary Film on the Life, His Times and Most importantly the Music of Don Ellis 1934-1978. The Film took three Years to complete and the Commercial DVD Release was in 2009 in The United Kingdom. We premiered the Film in Los Angeles to a sold out crowd and then screened the Film at Premiere Theaters. ELECTRIC HEART opened in Europe in Germany in 2008 with a crowd of 150 people waiting in the lobby for tickets. The Film has toured around the World and will have a Television Premiere in Florida on Public Television in April 2012. Next we open our DVD sales in Spain and Portugal. Everyone at the start said; "Its a niche Film and you will have trouble! Well it may be niche but Jazz and the Music that Don Ellis played like no other is doing quite well especially in Europe. My advise to any Indie Filmmaker is to stick with it, do what your heart is telling you to do and if it ain't waking you up in the middle of the night, go do something else. By far, this has been Central State Productions biggest and most creative Project to date. The Film was recently inducted into the Musical Archives of The Library of Congress and won Best Documentary Film at The Kansas City Film Festival in 2009. www.DonEllisFilm.com
