About
I strive for results; students get tutoring to strengthen their skills, or even just to make it past the next test. I look into the academic futures of students so that they can learn and apply what they learned in a session to homework, quizzes and tests. The rewards of a student succeeding at his/her goal. When a student gets tutoring just to "pass" the next test, I feel very rewarded when they do better than what they expected. I don't take the test for them, but I feel just as rewarded with the scores they receive.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always loved helping people. When I was in highschool, a lot of my friends would ask me for help, and I found that I was pretty good at conveying the information and breaking it down for them. I have been offering my services ever since.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Most of the common referrals are test preparation. Clients generally like to freshen up on the material or just learn the material to a point to do well on a test. I ask clients to get a list of the focus areas to minimize the time for the session and maximize the effectiveness of the session.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Research your providers. Sometimes pricey is not always the most effective, and other times the cheapest one isn't the best value. Tutors are a dime a dozen, and if the student does not relate to the tutor, there could be a barrier. Its okay to use a provider once, and try another.
