Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. The trends I see are Wall Art, Murals, Marbling and Wood Grainning, small fine art murals I am also doing many ceilings and columns. Color consultations for straight painting are common. However my versatility is immense being I have been artist (self taught) my whole life and painting for 35 years. I am also involved in the commercial and modern/contemporary finishes and wall art, theme room and scenic ideas
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. The three recent jobs I have completed are locally and are private residents but you can view the progress blog updates by going through these links I have listed below
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Make sure the experience is there with who ever you hire. Knowing how to paint a picture is one thing but knowing what and where you are painting it is something is entirely different There are claims of short cut products that are cutting down on labor costs which i refuse to use due to the fact that they have not been tested long enough. I have found myself repairing many of these decorative finishes that have .cracked, yellowed, chipped, delaminated and even eaten right of the wall. yes that's right eaten..Trust me ya might not want to know! lol
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. In my market of decorative arts and Murals, wall art and fine art a good question ask an artist of course would be what are the primary and secondary colors, and the differences between color value and saturation. That question would even stop and make an apprentice and even a professional think some times. Or even ask what is the measurement from a ground line to the horizon line.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. It's all in the details. I am not the average Faux Painter. I am a professional decorative artist, muralist, painter with many years in the coatings industry. I have had a successful painting contracting business for which I have retired from and am now enjoying what I love and that's to make people smile. I enjoy working with people with a vision and I do my best to turn it into a reality and I am very selective of who I work with because it is my job to make that connection. Grumpy, mean and disrespectful people need not apply.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Oh yeah I have quite a few stories that are both inspirational and hilarious some will even bring a tear to your eye. You see many of my clients have become repeat customers because of the trust that we build. Of course my stories don't have anything to do with them personally it's mainly about myself and the fun I have with painting or my thoughts, you should read my blog sometime, I can really get out there in left field sometimes lol
