Because of the ever present threat of hurricanes in South Florida and the fact that it's been 6 years or so since Wilma caused alot of tree and landscape damage we are getting many more calls for large tree thinning and hurricane pruning. These larger tress can be uprooted as the wind will hit them and if the wind can't pass through it will push the tree over. We can identify which trees need to be trimmed this season and which you can safely wait a while longer. – Aug 14, 2010 at 7:02 pm

Flat out Tropical is a very good company. The guy who is the main tree climber and arborist Willy is just really really nice. He explains things about the best ways to do the tree work, he shows you what he is going to do and the results are impressive. Very natural and quite attractive but also storm safe of course as that was the prime concern. We are an HOA and Tropical was the best bid and pretty much thats why they were selected plus we did check references and they came up aces. I would say the guys working with him at Tropical are very skilled too and very fast as basically they were able to take a 7 to 8 day job, as it has been for the last 6 years since I been there and they did a better job in 6 We saved alot of money but I swear it is a better job!.
If you are a property manager of board member or a home owner who wants qulaity tree work I would definately say to call them– Al

I will vouch for Tropicals good service. I had them remove a pretty good size Ficus tree that was just dominating my back yard. The crew worked in synch and lowered down the upper branches with a rope carefully then they pieced the main tree down to the ground. Then thery got the stump out with a stump grinder. It took them awhile to do this but I recognized the skill and dificulty and the price seemed pretty darn good to me so 1 they came promptly to estimate 2 gave me the best price for what they proposed to do 3 showed up as scheduled and performed the job flawlessly Tropical and Willy deserve an A +

Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Most common jobs:
palm tree trimming, palm tree and hardwood tree removals,
large hardwood tree trimming , tree thinning, openning up the interior of the tree, reducing the tree canopy, planting trees, palnting palms, installing hedges, replacing sod, landscape designs, community entryways,
landscape maintenance
land clearing
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Dont hire unlicensed workers or companies to do landscaping and tree work. Dont risk your valuable landscape assets to untrained, unprofessional, possibly illlegal and uninsured companies. Dont let landscapers who say they can trim trees do work that is not their main concern and that they haven't been trained for.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I want people to know that having the best skilled arborist in South Florida Willy Facile as director of the tree trimming division is the most important aspect to the business. Willys technical skill is unmatched and his knowledge of proper trimming techniques coupled with 25 yrs experience in S Florida agriculture and horticulture including landscaping, grounds maintenance makes him the guy you want to trim your trees or install your landscape.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We show up on time every time
We communicate with you at all times
We will honestly tell you what your best course of action should be in order to accomplish your objective and save you money.
Our crew members are all hand picked and the best at what they do in the industry We have an All Star team led by captain Willy.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Making people happy with Tropical Tree and Landscape is what I like the most about my job. Helping home owners, owner associations and property managers get the best advice, service and skill level for the best pricing in S Florida. I love saving customers money, doing a fantastic job and then hear the customer say "It looks better than I expected", " It looks awesome "," Willy did a great job or " "Your guys were all professional and we're very happy" or " I"ll tell my neighbor to use you" etc etc
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Customers that ask the most questions are the best because they are interested to have quality work performed for their money. They take an interest in the finer points of the job so they are curious as to how we do what we do Sometimes it's what is the best plants for my yard which we go over with you in our design package or can you landscape and then maintain my whole yard ( and how much) and we write a proposal or how will you trim this tree or is it ok to remove this tree or is it against code to top the tree or is my palm tree dead There are other common questions of course and we take the time to go over every detail having to do with the job so that we are both on the same page.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Every day is a new another favorite story !
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. We are professional in our approach yet personable, understanding and empathetic. We will work with you to make sure everything is perfect. Often it comes out of our own pockets becuase we go the extra mile to make you smile.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. Everyone in the company loves and appreciates the outdoors and nature. Landscaping and tree work are really arts and are very interesting and rewarding.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. We cleaned and cleared 13 bank owned acres in Greenacres in a park like manner. It was a pleasure to work on a property of that size that was so overgrown and had been abandoned and to see it transformed. By the time we finished, the lot was manicured and would be perfect for a horse ranch, camp or community center.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. Our most recent job was trimming palm trees and several Oak trees, 2 Ficus, 1 Olive and even a beautiful Royal Poinciana at a well known community in Boynton Beach, This HOA community association was looking to upgrade the level of tree trimming having for years used the landscape company and for years felt that the work was substandard. We proposed to do the tree work correctly to thier specifications while implimenting a restoration plan. We also helped them out by being flexible with the payment schedule. To their credit they were picky and made us earn every penny but in the end they were of course happy with the effort and work and that's how it always ends, with a happy customer.
