Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask your face painter if they use professional grade FDA approved products. Professional grade products give better results and FDA approval protects you from potentially dangerous effects of using paint that was not meant for the skin. This simple question separates most professionals from amateurs and give you more 'bang' for your buck. thepaintedeye.blogspot.com

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work stands out not just because I love what I do and my giggly canvas (children) but because it is my profession. Having a B.F.A. ( Bachelors of Fine Arts) degree means that I am educated in color effects, line , form and the basics of good design and art so that you get a better product. Also that I put this knowledge in daily practice that can be found easily in my illustration and design work. For more examples of my skills please visit me @ www.perennialdreams.net

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. My favorite thing about my job are the smiles. I love the smiling painted faces of all my clients there laughter and surprise makes my job worth doing.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I dived into the world of face and body painting at the tender age of 12. A community fair where everyone was assigned a booth I ended up in the 'face painting' spot having never been painted nor painted anyone before in my life I was handed a brush and a small starter face painting kit. I must have looked like a deer in headlights staring at this 'stuff ' I was suppose to use an the line quickly forming but i squared my shoulders put on a smile did a few wobbly paintings and suddenly I was swimming like a duck in water. I guess art and I were always meant to be.
