Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I make learning fun. I have a number of trick and tips that help students learn faster while at the same time making them smile. I think of ways that the student will eventually use the information in real life too. This way, their brain will retain what they learn.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love seeing the light bulb go on over someone's head. They have just had an "ah-hah" moment and that gives me a charge.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. The most commonly asked question in math is "When will I EVER use this?" and the answer is different for different topics but I usually link it with what they hope to be doing when they go out to work.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I had a student who came to me making Ds on every exam or quiz. Once I showed him the special techniques I teach, he started making As on every quiz and test. He turned a D into a B even though we only had 6 weeks left of the year.
