Ann created our website around 1995, well before most website were thought of. She has hosted the site from the begining and has always helped us to keep it updated, never having to wait for changes.

Anne,
Did a great job designing our webpage, we have had good reports on the music and dancing alligator she picked. If I need something added she does it. She is always willing to help get new customers.
Thank you– David

Thanks to A1Aweb, our company, Pelican Group International, has developed an international client base spanning the globe. We are tremendously indebted to Ann Menke for our growth and success. Ann has made it possible for potential clients to easily find us on the Internet. Ann's expertise and personal attention in servicing her customers is what makes the difference. A1Aweb leaves its competitors in the dust. During our company's early years our websites were serviced by various web hosting companies, but now we exclusively use A1Aweb simply because it is far superior to all the others. If your business needs a reliable and tremendously competent web hosting and web site development you need not look further than Ann Menke at A1Aweb.

I've had the pleasure of working with Ann for the past fifteen years. She has always kept our site on the top three listings on all major search engines. She has fixed my site quickly when I've crashed it, which was in the beginning, often. Ann is very pleasant to work with, and will always return a phone call, or email in a timely fashion. Her rates are reasonable, service is excellent, and I've never considered using any other company. I would highly recommend Ann for any of your web site development needs.

We have been with A1Aweb for 10 years. Our site brings in more local traffic than our phone book listings. Because of our worldwide exposure we began shipping items worldwide. Our A1Aweb website is the most important advertising tool we have. www.centuryautoair.com

Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. I create websites for small businesses in service industries as well as for those that sell retail. I have created alot of websites for people selling all kinds of products online.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Shop around for the best price you can get and make sure they answer the phone when you call or get back to you fast via email. Personal service is important.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Make sure whomever does your website ads meta tags so it can get indexed better on the search engines - many websites designers don't do this.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Ask what do they charge per page, how many images are allowed per page and what they charge for changes later on.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Write down all the domain names you think you would like to have for your business. Many will not be available.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I work fast and reply to phone calls and emails asap.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I like the instant gratification of seeing what I create show up on the screen for all to see.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What do I have to do to get started - choose a domain name, tell me what you are selling and if you will need a shopping cart to sell. I will recommend that you sign up for paypal to accept credit cards easily online.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. Don't beleive all the TV hype about instant results from a website - it can take weeks for a website to be picked up by the search engines.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I did tech support for an online service provider way back in 1995 and taught myself how to create websites because so many people were wanting them back then.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I continually read about the most recent developments in my field and communicate with others that do the same thing.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. Mobile websites that show up on cellphones and smartphones are the latest craze and I can do that too.
Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.
A. Domain Registration: $20, Hosting $20 to $30 per month, website creation $50 for the 1st page and $40 for each page after that.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Create a website for yourself or your favorite hobby 1st, learn html, learn how to use already created templates, learn how to do blogging and link exchanges.
