LadyOArt was developed with artists and crafters in mind. You have a unique product; there is nothing in this world that is like it because it was made by your hands. We provide a website that defines who you are and allows you to showcase your creations with a flair that matches your personality.
It is designed by artists, for artists. We also offer full-service, eco-friendly hosting, social networking, blogging, marketing and more.
A. Make sure to do your research! When comparing companies to creating your brand for you, don't be afraid to contact the other businesses listed in their portfolios for their review of the service they received! Make sure that you are getting what you are paying for. Be certain that the design company you choose is not only reputable with desirable design skills, but has also proven that they have the ability to go above and beyond for you on a personal level. When you are made to feel like you are their only client, plus you love the work you're seeing, you know you've chosen the right company.
A. My business is very small, run by only me. There is no large firm behind me where you never know who you are going to speak with anytime you call for help. I offer personalized service to all of my clients and I know each them by name. I take the time to really get to know each person that I work for, I love to hear about their work, their lives and anything else they want to share with me. It really helps me find out what kind of person they are and in turn, that helps me decide on the best design ideas for their websites or other design work I am doing for them. Each person is different, so is each business and I take that into heavy consideration. I offer everything there is that’s involved in starting up an online presence and beyond, from hosting your domain to all your design needs (web and print) to marketing on the Internet. I have dealt with the “big names” out there more times that you can imagine, whether it was during my own start up a decade ago. or whether a current client already uses another service and I have to contact them on their behalf…. I always hated having to tell my story and describe my needs to several people each time they called because my “notes” weren’t in the “system” as the previous “agent” claimed they were. That’s why it is so important to me to have a very personal, yet professional relationship with my clients–so that they never feel that way when working with me. I also pride myself on being able to customize my pricing depending on my client’s needs and budget. I probably have some of the most fair prices that I have seen, and I have done a lot of research! I have also been known to barter my services, since money is so hard for some people. I’ve bartered for some great things with some great people, dental and medical, electronics, even food! Not many of the “big names” will even consider that…. I really like being able to help my clients in any way that I can. My business depends on word of mouth — when my clients are happy, they tell people!
A. Mostly, I love being creative. Maybe it’s because I am a Libra and we’re creative and musical by nature, so that seems fitting. I love coming up with something new and colorful and unique. I get very prous of my work and when I hear how happy my clients are — I know it sounds a bit mushy– but I get all giddy inside and feel like I just made their day. It’s comparable to watching how my son’s face lights up on Christmas morning when he realizes that he got the big present he was hoping for! I love designing, I love art, I love creating, but mostly, I love helping people bring out their vision and see it in front of them. It is very rewarding!
A. Why does LadyOArt.com specialize in sites for artists? To this point — because I am an artist myself. I have been drawing since I was 2 years old and I think sometimes I like drawing portraits more than designing! I take pride in all of my creations, whether digital or on paper. I’ve spent thousands of hours and days over the years, looking at all the different art that people create. I am fascinated with creativity and the human mind, it’s amazing to see all of the wonderful things people come up with! I’ve also spent so many of those days and hours amazed at how poorly represented their work was. I see them trying to sell their amazing creative work on a cold, “cookie-cutter” web template that does nothing to show off the personality and creativity of the work. I know how hard they work on their art and I know how much of themselves they put into it and I just think they should be represented better. When I say art… I mean any kind of art. If I create something, a line of jewelry, clothing, handmade pottery, your own make up, a hairstylist, nail technician – it’s art! If you perform an art – singer, dancer, actor, songwriter – it’s art! So don’t be confused when you hear “artist” and automatically think I mean someone who draws or paints – I work for all artists of all mediums, and I love every bit of it. Your art is like no one else, so why should your web site be?
