Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Review their portfolio, ask for a list of references that YOU can choose. Find out how many years they have been in business. Make sure they listen to you and can understand your requirements and objectives.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. SEO and SEM (search engine optimization and search engine marketing) is not really rocket science. Everything you need is available on the internet. But hiring a company like Crystal Clear Solutions saves you the time, learning curve and resources needed to implement good SEO and SEM strategies.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. What is your design process?
Do you have references?
How long is your company in business?
Who will I be dealing with on this project?
How much will my project cost -- bottom line?
When will my project be done?
Am I allowed to revise my project during its development?
Do your web design services include getting my site listed in search engines?
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love the opportunity to always work on different web design projects with a variety of clients in different industries. I love being creative and being challenged. The combination of web design and social media helps me achieve both.
Of course, I love praise, too! When I am finished with a project, I have to feel good about it. But it is equally important that my clients love what I have done for them too.
Finally, my ultimate goal is a professional, unique and user friendly website that gets results. I love results!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. We always get asked "How much does it cost to build a website?". I gently reply, "Determining the cost of a website is much like determining the cost of building a house."
Everything we do at Crystal Clear Solutions is custom. When you are building a custom home, the builder needs to know how big of a house, how many rooms, what features it will have, etc.
Similarly, building a website requires knowing how much information a client wants on a website, what special features they want to include (database, news, calendar, etc.), how they want it to look (simple, flashy, etc.), how important search engine rankings are, etc.
By learning as much from the client as possible about their own thoughts and ideas for their website, helps us estimate properly and deliver within their budget.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Wow! I have a lot of great stories, after being in the web design business for over 11 years. I suppose my favorite "story" is one which I am most proud.
One of my favorite clients, who's name I cannot mention, contacted us years ago to do some database work on their website. It was there that our relationship began.
Though they were satisfied with the work that we did, we had ongoing chats about their website and the fact that it needed serious revamping. They simply were not getting visits to their site and, therefore, no new sales.
Fast forward, we redesigned their entire site, making sure to optimize it properly with their keywords and phrases needed to get their rankings in Google. We continue to modify and tweak, as necessary.
Over time, their web-based sales have far exceeded their expectations, and they are consistently in the top ten rankings on Google for a large number of their keywords.
