First of all my age is 64, male. I contacted Joseph to set up my estate plan. I liked Joseph from our first conversation. He is straightforward, upfront, and didn't try to upsell me. He is honest and very passionate about what he does to help people... I heard it in his voice and how he describes examples of why something should be written a certain way. He always leans to the cautious side making sure to cover all contingencies that may arise. Joseph reminds me of younger me. Always working, that's a good thing when you are young and up and coming. I needed legal documents to transfer over power from my parents to myself as they are elderly and want me to help manage their health and finances but had no idea what we needed. Hi Claude, we're sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, calling and harassing our employees does not warrant a call back. The money in your trust account was your retainer for us to prepare your taxes - which we completed. As such, it is customary to pay professionals for the services they provide. Furthermore, we discounted your last monthly invoice by 100% and did not charge you for any of the work we completed in the month of February. We take great pride in our work, but also great pride in our employees well-being. Your behavior as a client is unacceptable and, as such, your account will be closed. We wish you and your next service provider the best of luck.

We offer reasonable rates for all services and guarantee that we will always exceed your expectations. Most estate planning documents start at a low flat-rate so you will never receive a surprise bill. We also offer discounted rates for seniors, low-income individuals, and all veterans! We strive to assist everyone in our community from every walk of life and all income levels.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first start with a brief phone call to discuss the scope of your project. Next, we will schedule a time to have a detailed conversation about those needs, what course of action we intend to take, and what work-product you should expect to receive. Moving forward we will begin working towards achieving those goals and periodically provide our clients with updates as necessary, or upon request.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team has years of experience in estate planning, corporate law, business management, contracts and finance. Our Managing Partner has worked at boutique and mid-sized law firms on a variety of legal matters. He is a licensed attorney and holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance. With a background ranging from military service to banking, and then transitioning into the legal and finance realms, he became exceedingly skilled in problem-solving, and critical thinking. The associates and staff at Stead & Associates range from attorneys licensed in several jurisdictions, licensed HR professionals, and experienced employees with years of practice in the banking, tax, finance, and compliance realms.
