Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Broken screens, whether they be glass touch screen digitizers or LCD displays, are the most common repair. We also do a good deal of liquid damage repairs.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Check the company's online feedback. Is it positive? If so, does it appear that the business has written the feedback itself, or does it appear to have been written by customers? You might ask the nearby carriers whom they recommend and why.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Watching a YouTube video does not make one a cell phone repair tech. There is a great deal of time, experience, and talent that factors into one's ability to repair cell phones. Additionally, online instructional videos often leave out important details that can result in breaking a phone irreparably. Also, don't be fooled when somebody claims they are a "Level 3 Out of Warranty Repair Center." A bum on the street can be an out of warranty repair center.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are the parts OEM? What kind of warranty does the facility offer? How did they learn to repair cell phones? How long have they been repairing cell phones? This industry is, unfortunately, prone to liars and scams, so be very careful.
