Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Custom entertainment centers and media rooms, French door replacement, crownmoulding and wainscoting. Closet organization is also a big seller, especially in older homes that had very little closet space.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Have a few general ideas about what you want your home to look like, even some pictures from magazines are helpful. It helps to know what style you are looking for. From there, we can make recommendations and provide computer drawings to fine tune your dreams.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. With all of my years of experience in design and building, I can give homeowners options they hadn't even thought of, or knew were possible. I offer my customers possibilities and craftsmanship that very few companies can deliver.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Turning an unattractive room into a beautiful and functional space. In the case of custom built-ins, to take a plain drywall niche or bump-out and turn it into a gorgeous wooden entertainment center, completely transforming a room, is very gratifying.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. While installing crownmoulding for a custom, we started talking about their kitchen island paneling that was recently done. They hated it to the point were the wife had gone into the garage and cried when it was completed. I asked why didn't they match their new custom cabinetry? They were told by the carpenter that they couldn't do that. Two weeks later I installed faux door panels on all three sides of the island that matched perfectly in style and color to their new kitchen. The customers are now grinning from ear to ear!
