We offer handcrafted wirewrap jewelry, ready to wear or made to order. If you have loose stones or coins, I can wrap them.

An outfit you need new earrings for? It's likely I have the beads or stones to match. Extra small or extra large wrists or ankles? I can make a bracelet or anklet custom fit just for you!

I've been wire wrapping since 1984, with a little retail store in Historic Cocoa Village, Florida.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Go in with an open mind and allow the handcrafting artisan to do what they do--if you like their work in general, you'll like the work they do for you. Don't expect every detail to be measurement-perfect...this is handcrafted art. Don't expect the artisan to drop whatever they're doing to work on your request. Don't expect the artisan to fix or copy some other artist's work.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Please don't talk about how my work is "just like" the jewelry your Uncle Joe makes. It's not. I have my style and expertise, Uncle Joe has his. And if you stand there and tell the friend with you "I could make that", I'll be thinking two things. First, maybe you COULD, but WILL you? And second, I'm a professional and I've been improving my craft for more than 25 years, so anything you make is NOT going to look as good. If you like the item, for heaven's sake BUY it--it'll make both of us happy!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. What size, shape, and color are you looking for? Are you prepared to pay me for my expertise? This is my job and I don't work for free. How long are you prepared to wait? I want to do my best work for you, so not only do I have to work it in around customers in the store and orders coming in online, but I really do have to be "in the mood".

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I don't know that there are really any "developments" in my field, but I do constantly pay attention to the trends and fads, colors and shapes that are popular in jewelry. I also watch what other jewelry artisans are doing, and I research CONSTANTLY the newest and latest ways to market my business. That's where the continuing education is...in marketing.
