Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Whenever you looking to buy a product like a solar system, do your research. Get the system direct from the licensed contractor whenever possible. Sales companies that sub out labor can have highly inflated prices, with virtually no warranty.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. For the last 26 years we have serviced and installed thousands of Solar Systems in the South Florida area. We have learned the best way to install and what products are the most durable. Only the best components, proven by years of service free operation, are used in our systems.
The owner is the only solar engineer in South Florida. His knowledge in solar technology is used in every system we install.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Wel,l as Steve Hoag, the President of AEP says, “Solar Energy is a power source that can’t be controlled, strip mined, terrorized or fought over. This is one power solution we can all live with.“ We think that speaks for itself.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much is a Solar Hot Water system going to save? For a single panel system it will save up to $45/month. Double panel $75/month. Commercial systems - much more, depending on usage.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. After hurricane Andrew, as we all know many homes were destroyed. We installed a solar water heater in Homestead. After the storm we went to their house to inspect the system. The screen patio was torn off, most of the roof was gone, including the plywood. The solar system was still intact, and operable. With a small Photovoltaic panel and pump it did not need electricity to get hot water. It certainly helps to have the system installed securely and properly.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. We do our best to install and service our solar system properly, and we stand by it. We will be there for you should you have any questions or issues.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I went to school in Colorado to be a Solar Engineer. I felt that our future energy lies with the sun. Came to South Florida because this is where the sun shines the most.

Q. What are your most common types of jobs?

A. Water Heating, Pool Heating, both commercial and residential

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We installed an eight panel solar water system on the Aveda Institute located in Davie. They are a beauty school with the environment high on their list of building priorities.
