Hello family. I am Aliyah Azizah. Experienced care giver and life time animal lover. I have previous experience as vet tech assist and head kennel attendant, working with a private practice animal hospital. I have 10 years of extensive animal care experience, which includes volunteer work and the 5 years I’ve worked caring for animals professionally.
As a young girl I spent much of my free time volunteering with animal shelters and caring for neighbors and friends dogs/cats. Now as a young adult I spend my free time nourishing my mind, body, soul and spirit.
I am a life time lover, my soul purpose is to help others and share the love I have to give. Growing up, I spent countless hours surrounded by nature, so naturally I gravitated towards all that nature loves as well. I had the pleasure of growing around plenty of family and friends who cared for a wide array of fury friends. Remy was the first dog I looked after as a child. She was a chocolate, teacup poodle, who I helped raise from a puppy, amazing. Following Remy, I had the pleasure of rescuing a black neighborhood cat, Habiba. After Habiba I continued to foster, raise and re-home kittens for myself, family, friends and shelters.
You should know:
• For my comfort and safety I am only able to supervise dogs that are 100+ lbs if they are kind, trained and well behaved. No mean and scaries!
• I will not be able to handle your cat/dog if you can not handle them yourself. Although, I am more than willing to assist in correcting poor behavior habits as a team. (It really is a collective effort)
• For my comfort and safety I will only work with friendly cats/dogs,etc
• After many years in this business, I have yet to turn a client away. Talk to me, I am here to help and work with you
•If your companions are not house trained and you are interested in boarding at my home, there will be additional fees applied. I highly recommend opting for house sitting if your dog is not yet house broken.
I have extensive experience caring for birds, fish, reptiles, rabbits,hamsters, chinchillas, guinea pigs plenty of cats, kittens and dogs of course. Senior and young. Much of my time working with the hospital was spent learning alot about animal behavior, animal upkeep and regular maintenance, grooming, animal hygiene, medication administration, caring for senior animals, how to recognize signs of possible illness and most importantly patience, love and care.
You will have peace of mind knowing that my time spent with your companion will include plenty of patience, consideration, walks/runs, bathroom breaks, treats (if allowed), reinforcement of basic training (if necessary), zen, attention, genuine love and belly rubs. I own reliable transportation and am willing to run errands for food, bones or toys if needed. I also offer pick and drop off services for you.
Most times I keep nail trimmers, along with extra leashes and harnesses on hand, just in case needed. I also use seatbelts for dogs when transporting anywhere in my car.
In my photo gallery you will find a mix of photos of me with Rover clients and private clients, all photos taken by me or with me, in my presence. Photos are usually taken from my personal phone during walks, extended stays, drop in visits, feedings or outings...And whenever the lighting is right!
I am currently on a break from college. Most of my time is spent self educating, caring giving and exploring. I also sporadically work freelance gigs in marketing, and community outreach programs.
Due to my lifestyle, I currently do not care for any cats or dogs of my own, which allows me more time and energy for your companions. I am a full time animal care giver, this is not a hobby business.
