Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Fishing Charters in Fort Myers, Fishing Charters out of Sanibel Island, Shelling Charters along the beaches of Cayo Costa & Captiva Island

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure that you hire a full time fishing guide that spends over 200 days a year on the water. You'll get the most out of your fishing experience with a full time guide.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. You can jump aboard one of those larger party fishing vessels for a cheaper rate but when you hire a private fishing guide on a private charter like we offer you don't have to deal with other people you don't know on your day on the water and you get to spend more time fishing than driving from spot to spot.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How many days a year do you spend on the water? How long have you been guiding? Are you licensed and insured?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Visit us down at the Port Sanibel Marina to check out our boats, we have a green 26ft center console bay boat that offers plenty of room for 6 passengers and a 19ft flats boat that can carry 4 passengers

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I'm a native floridian female fishing guide, 5th generation Fort Myers Florida and come from a long line of fisherman & spearfisherman. I spend my free time underwater, I know how the fish act, react, and what they like to eat!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. That I get to see the pure joy and excitement in my customers face when they catch a fish of a lifetime, see their first manatee or dolphin in the wild, or find one of the most exotic rare shells along one of our beaches!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How many people can fit on your boat?
6 passengers can fit on our large boat & up to 4 passengers on our flats boat.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My husband Capt Chris Rush has been a guide locally here in Fort Myers doing mainly just fishing charters for over 12 years and I decided that he wasn't allowed to have all the fun, got my Captains license and became the first full time female fishing guide in my area of Southwest Florida.
