Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Get references and creditials. Their resume should speak for itself.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. No inside secrets......time is experience
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Know that a true home inspector should take a minimum of 2 hours inspecting your house, depending on the sq. ft. of the house. If he spends less than that, he is just taking your money and not really looking at what could possibly be a problem for one of the biggest investments someone is making when buying a house.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I have spent the past 6 years taking as many courses as possible to learn all I can about Home Inspections. I have been in the construction business for over 25 years; building houses and selling building materials. I take the extra time that customers are looking for to really explain my findings in a way that the customer will understand....not a lot of technical terms they more than likely wouldn't understand.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Every job keeps me fine tuned with my business. It's not the same old "ho-hum." Every time is a new experiance.Meeting the people and learning about what they are looking for. I just love the construction business because of taking materials and making such a beautiful house and seeing the progress.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How should they fix something I have pointed out to them. My answer is they need to hire a contractor or professional. My job is to point out the problems.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. How much I pride myself on making sure they are satisfied and confident that I know my business as well as anybody else.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I was assigned to take a construction inspector job while in the Navy. That's when I knew I wanted to do that as well as my civilian job.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. I am proud of all the jobs that I have done. I treat each one as if it were my first one.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am always looking to further my education in my business. I belong to many organizations that send me regular updates as well.
