I had the greatest experience working with this company. They prepared a high class DVD for two of my real estate developments and also created some awesome designs.

They are very professional and highly experienced in video productions. I can't say enough great things about this company!

Tim Baker is a true professional in every sense of the word. Detail oriented, pragmatic approach to every production and fiscally responsible during post-production.

He has a keen sense of editing and is a pleasure to work with under a time crunch (which seems to be almost every project for me). I would definitely hire Mr Baker again, or recommend him to anyone for hi-end video production.

Tim is a tremendous power house of productions skills. This one man band can do it all. With Tim as our cinematographer and editor on the Santa Talks web series we were awarded the 2010 Bronze Telly Award. Currently my company is working with Tim Baker on the creation of our next television project for release December 2011. Next time I call Tim for a job I hope to hear that I can't afford him. This guy deserves it. A true artist. A hard worker. And a great human being!

I have worked with Tim Baker on several different occasions and on many different types of projects (events, shoots, edits, we even lead an editing seminar for a corporate communications team). As an executive producer, the best compliment I can give anyone is to say that they are at the top of my call list, and Tim is at the very top of mine. His work and his attitude are always top notch and his personality makes the project go by "quicker". Tim is a great person and talent to have on your project and should be at the top of your call list.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I do most everything from broadcast to internet campaigns. You name it...I can put it together for you. If you have something that you feel needs a specific format like "reality"...you show me an example and I'll turn your production into the same thing. Too many people think it is brain surgery and will only hire an editor or shooter based on them having knowledge of a specific "niche" type of production...I always say like NIKE..."just do it". It isn't brain surgery.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Always...always make sure you compare apples to apples. There are a lot of production companies out there will give you a great price, but make sure what you are getting for that price. You may get a great price, but get a horrible production. So often in this business, as with most, you get what you pay for. The standard industry saying is "Cheap, fast, and good...pick any two!"

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Oddly enough my business strives to keep as much money in the client's accounts as possible. We work hard to make sure that the client gets the best possible production and results for the money. I have worked with way too many production companies that see the jugular and jump on it for all they can get. Not the case with CMVP.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love meeting new people and working in new environments. The one thing that has always kept me going is that every day is different and has new challenges.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How can you offer so many services and do a great job at all of them? My answer is two fold: first I have always been an informational sponge...soaking up whatever industry knowledge that I can on a daily basis which helped me out incredibly as most of my career I have had to be a "one man band" kind of operation which keeps the overhead down and the clients ROI much better. Secondly, I have a great pool of freelancers that I pull from when the job dictates more than what I can offer with just myself either equipment-wise or skill-wise. I am always honest about my skill set...but if I cant do it...odds are I have a great freelancer that can.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. One of the biggest struggles in this business is that people think that because you can turn a production fast or "its just video" that there is not time and equipment that is involved so it is hard for them to see why they have to pay so much for it. It is almost like most people think there is this "make video button" on the laptop and it just spits out production for them. There is real time...real expensive equipment...and a lot of intellectual skill required to do a good production for a good price. Clients need to recognize the fact that even though I make it look easy and I turn their production quicker than most...a good video is still and investment.
