Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. The only stupid question is one not answered. If you do not know something ask. If the person you are trying to hire says that is a stupid question, do not hire them. If you have a question and the tech is not willing to explain it in terms you can understand, do not hire them. Tech are teachers also. A tech should education a client of the preventative steps they can take to keep their computer health. This is a sign of a good tech and not a greedy tech.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. My answer to this would be do they want a machine that is upgradable or something set in stone; do they want AMD or Intel or does it matter; what are they going to be using their machine for, and what software do they need for their machine.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Most people who work on computer I have found think they know what they are doing where I am going to school for what I doing. I have been working on computers for over 18 years.

Q. What are your most common types of jobs?

A. My most common job is virus removal. A good anti-virus is a much for a healthy machine. I have had to redo a number of hard drives due to viruses. Most I was able to save the pictures, movies, and documents. Another common job is memory upgrades.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Continuing education is a much in the computer field. Computer change almost daily if not weekly. With these changes comes the need to understand them. I am in school to continue my understanding of the machines and even the software.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. My biggest project was a custom built machine for a customer. He wanted a gaming system for his flight simulator. I found him all of the parts from my supplier which included motherboard (main board), processor (CPU), memory (RAM a.k.a. short term memory), case, power supply, and heatsink and fan (keep the CPU cool). He had the video card. The total cost of the machine was under $500 including my price to build it and install Windows. The machine will run Xplane 9 at the highest level of detail and download live weather and it looks very real. The are no hang-ups or pauses in the game play. The customer is very pleased with his new system.
