We offer instrument panel replacement and airbag system service. Also available is computerized diagnosis of the control units (computers) employed in the multiple systems employed by the modern hi-tech vehicles to be able to do the things they do and that are usually taken for granted by their owner and users.
They don't realize that in order for it to do something new, there might be a sizable investment in money and technology in order to be able to jump through all the hoops and say: it can do this too!
Anyways, if your car has any lights that are staying on in the dash after the first 6 seconds of the start-up sequence; then that particular light represents a particular system's control unit (computer) that has found a fault with one of the components (sensors) in that system that is not properly meeting the preset reading threshold, it's either going down below the minimum specified parameter or above the maximum one.
That predicament then sets the system to be disabled until its right again, so it's not going to do what it's supposed to do. You would not believe me if I told you, that in a modern auto there are sometimes more than 30 systems throughout the car that I scan through, read codes, reset, etc. As long as there are no lights staying on in your dash, then all of the systems that were integrated into your vehicle would be enabled and working as expected.
My job is to talk to the computers, ask them where does it hurt then print it out for you and hand it to you. That's a diagnosis.
When the faulty component has been replaced, sometimes the control unit will remain lighting the system's dashboard light since the code is still recorded in it; in that case I can use my computer to reset the control unit and basically erase the code from within. That there is a reset.
My service territory is from West Palm Beach to Key West as long as the job warrants such travel. ASE recertified 3 times in 15 years (A6). Auto Electrical work is available.
