A. Wash with peppermint organic castle shampoo, herbal hot oil treatment. Then retwist with Naturally Clean Locs shea butter special blend, while essential root herbal oil. Then dry set with clips. When dry style.
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. loc extentions- adding bought human hair to the ends of a persons locs who wanted them longer looking. The Extentions were the exact texture and color and thickness as my clients original locs.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. To think hair care not just a stylist. Some with alot of experience who will help hair to grow and be healthy and beautiful. No cheap, but worth the results.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. What shampoo and hair care products to use. That store bought products usually dry out hair and is prone to break natural hair. Essential oil are indeed essential. The wrong products will make or break your natural hair literally.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Do you have natural hair? Can we meet for a consultation. What type of products do you use and why? How long have you been doing hair?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. They should think, do I care about my environment, if its friendly, clean? Are the products and services important to me?
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Our work stands out simply because we really care about you as a whole. When you come, you can ask many questions and get answers to your specific needs. We never over book. Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I meet awesome people, as I read more and attend self help seminars I grow and help my clients to grow as well.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. SrUHow long have i been growing natural Locs. Answer is for 12 years and i often trim my locs to stay current, and healthy.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Yes a client came in today saying " i've been to 3 salons for my locs and i stayed 20mins and locs looked the same, no lines in my roots". After he was done he said "i dont even have to look in the mirror, my head feels right ill be here from now on"!
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I wish they knew that we have a big responsibility to help you transform and our hands our gifts. There are many stylist but only a chosen few have a huge gift of transformation. Choose your stylst wisely.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I have been doing hair since my first braid at the age of six. At ten I had my first family clients. Then when the word got out I started doing hair in my parents basement. I told myself that I would have a salon.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Yes we do HIV education and hair shows, tutorials, videos, books, magazines. Also experimententing with styles my client ask me to do. We always challenge ourselves.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. I suggest that they make sure its a passion, and they love to make themselves better and uplift others. If its just for the money, probably not a good idea.
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. Greatest strength is listening and seeing a need and being able to give council and what ever I can to fill it. Also, clients come one way and leaving transformed.
