After a two-month survey of over 6,000 small business owners nationwide, Thumbtack.com has released new data showing that while small businesses awared Jacksonville with a pair of 'A' grades for its tax system and zoning ordinances, the city earned a C- overall for its friendliness towards small business. This may be the result of the pessimism among small businesses about their current financial health.
Some of the key findings for Jacksonville include:
- Jacksonville ranked among the 10-best cities nationwide for its regulatory regime, though it earned a C- for ease of starting a business.
- Small businesses rank Northeastern Florida as having the state's lowest hiring costs.
