Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are a private school taught by trendy, professionals still in the business and who are spa and salon owners. We are passionate about teaching and love our students and they love us! Our school is beautiful and we are in a wonderful location on the St. John's River. Our school is set up like a spa featuring day of beauty services. Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We are passionate about our students and our CLIENTS are the stars of the show!!We enjoy what we do and believe in wellness and believe that beauty plays a vital role in achieving wellness. When you look good, you feel good...you feel on "top of the world!"

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do we do bridal parties? Of course we do..Our students have done many bridal parties lately with great success and much happiness from the brides. Besides, the bride is looking to save money..and our students are well-trained. We have faith in them to do a great job!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. We had a recent graduate from our school. She had been a quitter. One who would start and stop and never finish a thing. When she graduated, she started to cry. She said, "I can't believe I finished! I never finished a thing in my life. I'm so proud of myself." It made my day to see her rejoice in this life changing event. She was no longer a quitter. She became a winner!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. As a Registered Nurse, I realized that while in the hospital, so many patients felt better after a massage, their hair done, a shower, their nails painted. It is part of the wellness process. If you feel better about yourself, it helps with the healing process.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I decided to get into beauty after seeing so many folks get injuries from pedicures and nail services. It was frightening to learn that state guidelines weren't being followed after I learned the state's strict rules on sanitation and disinfection. It was obvious that many technicians had little or no proper training. I wanted to advocate and bring about a high level of cleanliness to the business. I wanted to try to make a difference if I could.
