As an Oriental Medical Physician, Candice Nelms is caring, extremely skilled and excellent in her field. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for the absolute best in medicine. Candice worked with me on all levels when I was extremely disatisfied with traditional medicine. My high respect for her is without question. She is simply wonderful.

Candice has that unique quality definining great healers. She looks beyond the patients complaints, beyond the site of the symptom and treats the patients "well being". She shows deep respect for her patients and an extroridiary commitment to their healing. Sometimes a follow up email from her, is as theraputic as a treatment. Her skills and commitments are well beyond others. I feel fortunate to have met her.

As colleagues go, Candice tops the list. She has treated me many times and is my “go to” acupuncturist and friend in south Florida. She is an accomplished herbalist, dedicated acupuncturist, faithful friend, and above all a kind human being. I am blessed to call her my friend and am honored that she numbers me among her friends.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Internal Diseases: GI disorders, Cancer therapy recovery (radiation/chemo), infertility, cardiovascular, neurological, gynecology, weight loss, metabolic, endocrine, respiratory, Liver diseases, Immune disorders, skin.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask everyone you know if they have an acupuncturist. Get a referral. Call at least 3 people you are interested in seeing, go to the one you feel most comfortable with. Don't pick blindly out of the phone book.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I specialize in an intricate diagnostic technique known as the "Contemporary Chinese Pulse System". 28 positions are checked along the radial artery of the pulse in order to listen to the language of each and every organ system of the body, their contribution to the immune system, the body's contribution to its systems and the state of the spirit. This system is able to predict the outcome of a disease process within a 1-3 year scope, before any western medical imaging or blood work can measure it.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love hearing the stories of my patient's lives. I get to be a part of the incredible transformational process from disease back to health again.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Q: Can acupuncture fix my . . .

A: Chinese medicine can approach any issue you may have, it is designed to understand core issues and deal with immediate concerns. Everyone is different. It is an individual's medicine unlimited in potential and capable of going as far as you are willing to go in the journey through your own health.

Short Answer is "Yes, come in."
