We assist each couple with their song selections for their first & second Dances, their Parents dances, their own introductions as Well as the Bridal party intros. Then of course we go over all the other details such as cake cutting, garter / Bouquet toss, bridal dances, etc.

We will spend as much time as necessary to make sure you are both comfortable with what’s being programmed for your day. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

We were invited to play for Keystone Heights Florida "Our Country Day" July 3rd 5K run and Parade, We set up at the Keystone Heights City Hall and beginning at 8am on July 3rd we played during the 5K run playing songs to keep the runners and crowd motivated and then we played prior to the parade while the crowd formed on around the parade route, We provided the PA system so Tina Bullock could announce the floats marching bands and such, At the conclusion of the parade we played for the crowd until around 2pm what makes this event special to us is we were able to give back to the community by offering our services for free and to see the crowd as we played songs about how great our country is and songs as well has other popular songs. We were asked many times if we were with a radio station.

How did you decide to get in your line of work?

We have years of experience in music, as a performer oue repertoire included Gospel, Country Gospel, Rock, Hip Hop and Country, Our DJ has also preformed as a comedian.

Our DJ is also well known for his Public Relations efforts for motorcycle rights organizations as well as strong customer service skills allowing him to interact with all ages and situations.

Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

We keep a close eye on the Billboard (http://billboard.com)top 40 for any new music, We also support local bands and play their recordings at many venues, our latest find has been Break Red they have a great 80's sound singing their own original songs.

What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

TO date the greatest technology is the lap top and external hard drives, led stage lighting, and social media allowing DJ's to communicate their venues to their followers

If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

You have to love all music to be successful as a mobile DJ be sure you update your equipment we do this yearly not because there are issues with the equipment we have but to ensure that there are no issues during an event, we keep our older equipment as a backup.

Every Job is different and unique most times all anyone wants to know is how much. We provide a fair price based on the venue and if lights are required. We invite potential customers to come out and see their DJ play in a public venue. We try to go that extra mile every time to ensure your event meets your expectations.

If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

What type of equipment is used and how much experience the DJ (Disk Jockey) has in their trade.



Technology has allowed the DJ to be a little more portable no more having to move records, tapes, or CD's A good mobile DJ today will travel with a laptop and external hard drives containing thousand's of tittles. I personally am against IPod DJ's has the music list on hand is limited to what is contained in the IPod.



Clay County Mobile DJ brings a laptop with a 350 Gigabyte hard drive and two 500 Gigabyte External hard drives allowing us to provide a wider selection of music we also request in our contract that the customer provide us a music list of songs they want to have played and types of music they want played as well as types of music they do not wish to hear, We also ask if all requests must be kid friendly and if you wish to allow your guests to request songs from our DJ, Last and not least we ask how you would like our DJ to Dress for your event.

We have so many each event has it's own great story. We have made new friends at all of our events and it is hard to decide what we have seen that would make an event our favorite.

What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A professional will always provide you a contract explaining in detail the venue the times of the venue any and all additional fees and what you as the customer are responsible for.

    Rick is the best DJ I know...I hired him to do my daughters sweet 16 birthday party that I had at Keystone Beach Pavilion. He took care of everything so that I did have to stress over anything but the decor. He had awesome lights to fill the room and the kids danced all night. It was truly a great time...even the adults were dancing. I would hire Rick again for my next special occasion anytime.

    Rick is the best!! He was my DJ at friends birthday party for me in '08, and did an amazing job. The music was right on track, his DJ skills are #1 . He arrived really early and had music going while we were still getting everything set up. Then later in the evening, after we had been drinking all day,, Rick even kept a eye out for the people in the pool!! Thanks again Rick for all you did for me !!

    Rick Schramm dj'ed the U.S. Underwater Hockey Championship banquet in Gainesville, Florida at the Paramount Hotel banquets. He electrified the dance floor with the songs he played. His announcements were clear and crisp. Rick is the sort of person that you can trust to do the very best job. I will definitely hire him again when the occassion arises. I was a little bit skeptical about hiring someone who doesn't really live in the city, but the music he played was well taylored to meet the tastes of the crowd with ages running from the teens to the 60's. Many thanks to Rick Schramm for a successful evening!
