Hi there! I'm Aimee. I have more than 10 years of experience with kids of all ages.

I will drive to where you are (no further than 20 miles from the Lake Mary exit on weekends or 20 miles from the Orlando area on weekdays). I have my own transportation, and my rates are relatively flexible.

I have references from other families that have used my babysitting services.

I am a full-time paralegal, so I am available after 5 p.m. on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I pride myself on being a "cool" adult and being able to get on a child's level when it comes to playtime. I am a huge animal lover, so pets are not an issue for me.

If you need an occasional sitter, I'm the right person for you!

Aimee is a truly unique and wonderful person and babysitter. She has been watching our boys for about two years and we absolutely love her. Previous to Aimee, we only had family members babysitting for us so it was difficult to think of leaving them with a "stranger'. After meeting Aimee, it was clear that she genuinely enjoys children, and puts them first. It is such a relief to be able to relax on a date night with my husband and not worry about what is going on at home. I have and will continue to recommend Aimee to friends.

Aimee is amazing with our kids! We have a baby and a toddler - so there is not shortage of "energy" in the house. She not only takes care of what needs to be done with the kids, but the kids have a ton of fun with her. We cannot recommend her enough! She is a great sitter!

Aimee has been a wonderful babysitter. She is always very energetic and made leaving my 2 children (ages 2 & 6 months) much easier. She would even call about 1X on her own just to let me know the kids were doing well. My son adored Aimee; she has the maturity, experience, commitment, and quick availability that every parent looks for in a babysitter. If you choose to use Aimee and would like a direct referral, I give her permission to give my contact number.....she is absolutely wonderful!!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. The most common types of babysitting jobs for me are usually parents who want to go out for date nights, or parents that have afternoon or weekend activities that they can't take the kids to.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Here are a couple of links that parents might find useful:

Questions to Ask a Babysitter
http://www.care.com/child-care-babysitter-interview-p1145-q22778.html

Babysitting Pay Rate Calculator
http://www.care.com/visitor/childCarePayCalculator.do?zip=32746&numChild=1&yearsEx=10&x=62&y=20

It's important for parents to ask a lot of questions about their care provider, as well as making sure they are paying that provider accordingly.

I would be happy to answer any other questions you might have. Feel free to send me a message on Thumbtack.com, and please, see my Care.com profile for more information about my services.

Thank you!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. As I mentioned in the brief bio... I really pride myself on being able to relate to children on their level. I feel that children are capable of understanding more than we sometimes give them credit for, and we should respect that as adults.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love kids :) I love being able to see the world through their eyes.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. I am commonly asked about my discipline style. Again, I feel that children are able to understand more than we sometimes give them credit for. My philosophy has always been that you should treat ANYONE (child or adult) the way you want them to act. I have found that most of the time, if a child is treated with respect and not talked down to then they will act accordingly. I do not believe in physical discipline, nor do I believe that is part of my job description. Time outs are as heavy duty as it gets with me.
