Adam, is not only a great guitar player but a very good teacher as well. He remembers each previous lesson and comes prepared to build upon each lesson with a plan framed around the students goals. He takes the time to explain the “why” while showing how to play. He adapts his plan according to the students progress and skill. He’s personable and funny as well as flexible and communicative with scheduling. Great value and I’ve learned a ton in a few short months. Highly recommended! Ken

Adam has been teaching me acoustic guitar for almost 1 year. I’m a 53 year old beginner. I highly recommend Adam. I look forward to my weekly lessons & he inspires me to practice pretty much everyday & I have made tremendous progress. His teaching style encompasses patience as well as flexibility allowing me to not only learn guitar but teach me the songs I choose to keep it fun and challenging has been an amazingly enjoyable experience.

Adam has a keen sense of music and is able to pick small mistakes. As an intermediate guitar player, Adam's advise for improvement as well as his patience has been very helpful. I was essentially stuck in the guitar limbo with sparks of brilliance and not consistent with technique and picking accuracy. Adam's time has been the key to move forward with a sound guitar technique.

I started as a complete beginner But adam is an excellent instructor and he fine tuned his lessons to adapt to my skill level and took into account the limited time I had to practice. He gives me great tips on how to practice playing different notes, and gives me increasingly sophisticated finger exercises to help me get used to switching between different chords/notes. Introduced me to different riffs I could use to practice, tune my guitar. And he was also very willing to share the more pedantic details of music. Adam makes the whole experience really fun and I learn a lot more in those couple of classes weekly than I though I would and was even able to read the notes off of internet and play my favorite song in the end. I would gladly recommend adam to any one wanting to learn how to play guitar.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50 for an hour lesson. $30 for a half hour. I offer a 10% discount for students who pay for four lessons or more in advance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out a bit about the student's skill level and the kind of music they're interested in learning, then we jump right in. I tailor each lesson to the needs and interests of the student. That way each student has a unique experience that will keep them interested, and having fun while learning. If it's not fun, what's the point?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied guitar at Berklee College of Music, and National Guitar Workshop, as well as studying with several great private teachers. I have a comprehensive knowledge of music theory, and of lead and rhythm guitar techniques. I've been teaching guitar and bass guitar for over 10 years, and I have 20 years experience performing on stage.
