A. I would check to see if the mechanic and shop is certified ASE. Also A good shop will be ASA certified as well. Here at Penney's we are ASE, ASA certified, and factory trained.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The day of the grease monkey are long gone. Today you better have a fundamental knowledge of Physics to repair a vehicle. Today you need the most up to date equipment just to check and maintain air pressures in the tires.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Are you certified? Do you have references and clients I can call? Are you ASA shop certified? What training have you received lately?
