Encore Events has been conducting professional estate sales in Florida's Pinellas County since 1991. We go as far south as St. Petersburg, north to Palm Harbor, and to all points in between.

Services include assisting in all phases of life transitions: helping clients downsize or move away or helping heirs liquidate their deceased family member's property.

Owner William Murphy is also a personal property appraiser and former owner of an antique shop in Belleair Bluffs. His experience helps him correctly determine the value of items to be sold. Not much slips under the radar!

    Bill and his staff are kind, compassionate and respectful. Encore did our estate sale 2 weeks ago. It was wonderfully staged. I keep bumping into neighbors who attended and they tell me what a wonderful sale it was. Bill is the man to go to for sure. I will be back for his services when it comes time for my parents estate.

    I've been attending Bill's sales for years (am on his email list!) and am always impressed by how nicely he and his crew stage the sales. Everything is organized, prices are well marked and the staff is helpful. I keep telling Bill one day he needs to come and help me get rid of my stuff!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. If you need to hire a professional liquidator to run an Estate Sale for you, you need to ask how they advertise and market their events. Ask how long they have been in business and ask what condition they will leave your property in after the sale is over. You don't want to be left with a lot of unsold items to dispose of yourself. If you are thinking of hiring Encore Events, ask for a copy of our "Estate & Personal Property Sale Guide". It will give you a lot of information about the sale process as well as remind you of things you need to take care of before moving on.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. At Encore Events, we know how many details are involved in making a life transition. Attention to details is one of our strengths. Whether it's researching a painting to determine its value, or discovering that a little ceramic bowl you thought worthless is worth several hundred dollars, we pay a lot of attention to your property. We also pay attention to things you might not think of when you are moving on: have you left furs in cold storage? have you contacted the pool service, lawn service, bug service? Our goal at Encore Events is to make every life transition smooth. When you hire us, we stand behind you every step of the way.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. What I like most about this business is the interesting people I get to know. Clients and customers come from all walks of life and all parts of the country. They are more like friends than clients or customers because of all the interaction involved during an Estate Sale event.
