Introduction: Here’s the part where your math problem disappears! Most math tutors either help with homework or explain a particular idea. That’s not how I do it. I begin with assessing the student's background in math. This process helps me identify what causes his/her difficulties math, and then I create a plan particular to that student's needs. I also provide notes and practice worksheets. Once the learner obtains a strong foundation in math, he/she increases confidence in his/her math skill that allows him/her to hone new skills effectively.
