As a photographer working in the Panama City, FL area, I am lucky to be able to show off our amazing white beaches and the families who enjoy them.

My style is a laid-back, come-as-you-are type of style. Most of my clients are given a list of ideas and locations for their photo shoot. With families, I encourage them to bring toys, props and accessories that are fun and have family memories. For belly and baby pictures, I try to include items that are special to the family.

With all situations, I try to keep it lighthearted and full of joy. Smiles come out naturally when everyone is having a good time, and that is my goal.

    Adria's fun loving yet professional attitude provide the absolute best experience. I've never felt more comfortable being photographed...whether a family portrait setting or maternity photos (at eight months!), I felt at ease and completely comfortable. My favorite thing about her: she listens to you and captures what you want. She doesn't want to take a nice picture. She wants to capture the moment...your moment...and allow you to keep it forever. EVERY photo session with Adria produces me with memories on paper. And that's often hard to find with other photographers.

    Adria did our wedding photos and they are absolutely perfect and beautiful. I feel so lucky that she was associated with our wedding coordinator. The pictures tell the spot on story of our wedding day and I still get them out and look at them often. I wish she were closer so she could take all of our family pictures, or I wish we were at the beach more often :) Hopefully, we can go back to Florida for our year anniversary (with a new addition to the family) and she can take some pictures for us again.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Weddings and families.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask how far they will travel. Ask if they offer images on CD. Ask how far in advance you can book their services.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. It is not easy to take pictures on pure white sand beaches, but that is my favorite place to take pictures. My stand out feature is the sand and sun...literally. I try to get families with the sun behind them glowing in the picture showing the waves and beach all in one. That is not easy and easy feet. I also pride myself on the natural smile. I try my best to leave the "cheese" at home and get my clients to produce a real smile and more often then not catch them laughing.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The people. My clients make my pictures pop more then I do. I tend to attract fun loving people and that shows in their pictures. When I can get them to cut loose and try new things...climbing on loading docks, rolling down a hill or twirling their loved ones...I get the best feeling. I really do love my job.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What do we wear? I tell them that the mainstream would say wear white shirts and khaki pants to the beach but I say use color. The sand is white, so use color to make your pictures pop. The best pictures are those were the family shows in a theme of colors where everyone is comfortable in their own colors and clothes.

Where should we take pictures? I instruct most of my families to choose a location that gives both sand and green grass. One of my favorite backgrounds is a green lawn in a park and then I usually take them to a beach right before sunset for the glow.

When should we take pictures? The best time for pictures is an hour and a half before sunset. You don't want to start taking pictures as the sun is setting because when the sun is that low there isn't enough good light for the style of pictures I take. Remember I like the sun in the background.
