Carlos is a great guitar teacher and guitar player. He is very knowledgeable regarding music theory and applying this to the guitar. I find his lessons enjoyable and interesting. The lessons are also helpful in keeping my playing fresh and opening new doors with regards to how i approach the guitar.

A. Remember, a huge part of music is about feeling good and expressing yourself. Have fun with your lessons and make sure you feel comfortable with any teacher before you make a commitment to a program.
A. I recommend that all students think about what they are particularly interested in learning (eg. basics, songs, styles, reading, improv, theory, etc) before signing up. I would also advise any prospective student to make sure they have the time and discipline to invest 30-90 minutes of practice per day.
A. My work stands out because of my attention for detail, patience, and individualized approach. Also, I work as a teacher AND a professional performer, which I feel gives me and my associates an edge over any other program. Also, my classes offer a college level education for a fraction of the cost. I take pride in helping beginning music students and professional musicians alike.
A. I love it when students have that moment of "a-ha!" and things click together in their performance. I find it happens often when we take something apart and then put it back together. I also love that it doesn't feel like a job because of all the fun during sessions.
A. When I was 16, a friend of mine from high school asked me to give him lessons. Although I hadn't done it before, I went for it and, long story short, it went extremely well. I realized right then that I had an aptitude for teaching music. Teaching and performing has been my career since then.
A. One of my vocal students (9th grade) recently had an audition for a top level singing group in her high school. Not only did she make it, but apparently not many freshmen ever make the group.
