FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Writing was always something I knew I loved and I've been writing "professionally" since middle school when I was a reporter for my school newspaper. It is my pleasure and joy.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Corporate copywriting including press releases, short bios, media advisories, photo captions, boilerplates, newsletters, reports, proposals, speeches and memos. I also write long and short-form articles for magazines and newspapers.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you see a cross section of samples of work from any potential hire. Also, ask them to do an on-the-spot writing test to ensure their claims and work are authentic. So, for example, if you're hiring someone to write a press release, provide them with a made up scenario and then ask them to email you a press release about the scenario within two hours. It will show you what they can do in a crunch and a tight deadline. They also - if they are making inflated claims - won't have time to ask someone else for help.
