Introduction: I am Walter Arias, a photographer. Welcome to my website. I am Walter Arias, a fashion and personal photographer. I was born in Argentina to a family of Italian and Spanish origins. I received my first camera at the age of 12 from my grandfather from Buenos Aires. I moved to Brazil to start my career. Following my heart, I began formal training as a photographer in Brazil. Small jobs for local modeling agencies sparked my interest in the fashion world, and soon I was living part-time in Rio de Janeiro and Milan. The year 1992 was a turning point in my life. This is when I decided to take a step forward in my professional career by enrolling in the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) in New York city. I lived in the big apple for nine years, working as a fashion photographer on many campaigns for American as well as European designers and fashion houses. My work has appeared in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, ID, Numero, W and many other publications. I have also photographed celebrities, including singers Lisa Stansfield and Salt-N-Pepa and "Days of Our Lives" star Matt Cedeno. Photography is not only my career, but it's also my passion in which I learn more every day. Every photo shoot advances me in my craft and influences the way I define my style as I approach all my jobs with a fresh creative vision.
