Ms. Wahman has taught all of the above for over twenty four years in NYC, Miami and abroad to students ages 5 to 75, both privately and in schools. Her teaching philosophy is that each student is a mine rich in gems of inestimable value, and that by cultivating the love of music, joy of creativity, and increased self-esteem through encouragement, inspiration and varied teaching tools, the student's talents and creative potential will develop and manifest. Excellence is promoted, knowing that each person's best may be very different from another's, while having fun! Her intense studies with jazz legends Ron Carter and Mike Longo have given her both a more profound knowledge of music and two excellent examples of what makes a phenomenal teacher. Having these two examples as well as learning from her teaching experiences over the past twenty one years has made her a very effective teacher. She is a patient, supportive, responsible and kind teacher who loves children and seeing them light up when they learn something new and their delight in their own playing.
